Why does my event's registration form say that registration is not open?

 

This Knowledge Base article is intended for event organizers.  If you are trying to register for an event that is closed, please contact the event organizer to see if registration has closed or possible has not opened yet.

There are two causes for receiving the following message:

The first and most common is that you have set your event's closing date to a date that is in the past, thereby ending registration.  This option is under 'Edit Event Information', under the 'Event Details' tab.  Also note, this is the same location of he setting that 'hides' your event from the upcoming events calendar both on your web applets and Regatta Networks official event calendar:

 

The second cause of a closed event is not having created a Registration Fee for your event.  Even if you are hosting a no-cost event, you still need to create a $0 fee for the registrant checkout process.  To create a fee, select "Edit Event Fees" from the event menu and create a Registration Fee.  If this is the case, you should be informed within the Fee Editor:
